Last week, BAM celebrated the legacy of Pina Bausch with an opening night party surrounding "... como el musguito en la piedra, ay si, si, si... "—the last work Pina created before her passing in 2009. This piece was inspired by Chile, its popular music, folk songs, and cultural roots which made for a festive and commemorative party!

Keep reading for highlights from the occasion and check out the full Event Album here.

BAM members at the Benefactor level and above were invited to attend this celebratory party after the opening performance on Thursday. Fleurs Bella used the Chilean landscape as inspiration for the evening's decor while Great Performances served traditional Chilean cuisine, including empanadas and humitas, alongside Brooklyn Brewery beer.

Next week, BAM will honor its dedicated and generous members by inviting those at the Producers Council level and above to a special dinner at Skylight One Hanson, followed by a performance by the Brazilian dance company, Grupo Corpo, and with a party back at Skylight One Hanson.
